Your Data Rights: Winter respects your right to be forgotten. You can request the permanent deletion of your account and all associated personal information at any time directly through the app or by submitting a request to our support team.

How to Request Account & Data Deletion

Option 1: In-App Instant Deletion (Recommended)

Open the Winter Dating App on your Android device.
Go to your Profile tab (bottom navigation).
Tap on Settings (or Account Control).
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
Confirm your decision. Your account and personal data will be scheduled for immediate permanent deletion.

Option 2: Web / Email Request

If you have uninstalled the app or are unable to access your device, you can submit a deletion request via email:

Subject: Account Deletion Request - Winter App

Include: Your registered phone number or email linked to your account.

Our support team verifies ownership and processes requests within 48 to 72 hours.

Types of Data That Are Deleted

Upon processing your deletion request, the following data is permanently purged from our active databases:

Profile Data: Name, phone number, date of birth, bio, gender, and dating preferences.
Photos & Media: All uploaded profile pictures, verification snapshots, and thumbnails.
Chats & Messages: Message history, ephemeral chat logs, and read receipts.
Device & Location: Push notification tokens (FCM), IP logs, and approximate location coordinates.
Biometric Lock Data: Device security preferences and session keys stored in hardware enclaves.

Data Retention Period & Exceptions

Immediate Removal: Your profile is immediately hidden from discovery and search upon initiating deletion.
Backup Purge: Routine server backups overwrite and permanently purge all references within 30 days.
Financial / Legal Compliance: In accordance with statutory legal requirements and anti-fraud tax obligations, records of verified in-app purchases and coin transaction timestamps (order IDs and transaction numbers, excluding financial card numbers) may be retained for the minimum period required by applicable financial laws.
